Alesya Dobysh

Alesya Dobysh is a professional dancer from Moscow, Russia. She is a choreographer and teacher of urban dance styles with 10 years experience. During this time she mastered styles such as house, jazz-fusion, hip-hop, breaking and other urban styles, as well as contemporary modern basic techniques. Alesya skilfully combines house and jazz-fusion dance, and became well known for her unique style based on precision, musicality, subtlety and aesthetic forms. She won a number of international festivals, amongst others: “House Dance Forever” Amsterdam, Holland 2015; “BCN Top Styles” Barcelona, Spain, 2014; “Street Star” Stockholm, Sweden 2014; “Funkin’ Stylez” Finland Qualification 2013; “Juste Debout” Italy Qualification 2013; and “Cercle Underground” Paris, France 2012. Alesya is also co-founder of the crew “Matryoshki in Jazz”, the only all-female crew in Europe representing UK Jazz Dance. Matryoshki in Jazz make different shows and theatre performances, collaborate with dancers from Europe and Asia, and organise events in Moscow. They keep the culture alive, always inspiring the scene to create and develop.
